Who We Are

The Christian Academy is a ministry of Christian Life Center in Heath, OH. TCA is committed to assisting CLC in the fulfillment of its vision to build Christ-centered families by investing in the next generation. We are dedicated to developing the whole student—spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically—by teaching a Christ-centered curriculum in a structured relational environment.

TCA launched with over 30 students in its first year and has now grown to 50 students, marking the continued growth of an impactful educational ministry. The Christian Academy embraces the privilege of preparing students to engage in a life-long journey of increasing their capacity and fulfilling their potential. It is the goal of TCA to help students discover their God-given purpose and to prepare them for personal, academic, and spiritual success. As a basis for developing the whole student, our staff imparts a biblical worldview with an expectation for academic excellence.

A message from Principal Harker

Greetings!

It is my privilege to continue serving as your principal as we enter our second year together. Reflecting on the past year, I am filled with gratitude for the relationships we’ve built and the progress we’ve made as a school. I look forward to building on that strong foundation as we pursue another year of growth and excellence.

With nine years of experience in education, spanning roles as an educational interpreter, classroom teacher, instructional coach, and mentor, I’ve had the honor of working at both the middle and high school levels in Ohio and Virginia. These experiences continue to shape my commitment to student-centered leadership and meaningful collaboration with families and staff.

Rooted in a family legacy of ministry and education, I believe deeply in the power of learning to transform lives. My academic background includes education in Early Childhood Development, an Associate of Applied Science in Interpreter Education, and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership, and I am currently pursuing my Master of Science in Organizational Leadership.

In addition to my work in education, I remain active in ministry, currently serving as an interpreter in the Deaf Ministry at Christian Life Center. I am also pursuing my local minister’s license with the UPCI.

I trust that with God’s guidance and our united efforts, this school year will be filled with purpose, growth, and success.
